English Language Course Exemption Policy

Through this online service, you can apply for exemption from English language courses.

Guidelines for Submitting an English Language Course Exemption Request

1. The English language proficiency certificate must be an official and authenticated IELTS (Academic or General Training), TOEFL iBT, or equivalent certificate.
2. The IELTS General Training certificate is not accepted for exemption from the Level 2 course in the Academic Track.

English language courses, which are a mandatory University requirement, are offered in the undergraduate and diploma programs as follows:

Exemption Requirements

1. No more than two years may have elapsed since the date the English language proficiency test was taken at the time of submitting the exemption request. Certificates issued for tests taken remotely are not accepted.
2. Applicants must achieve the required scores in all components of the IELTS (Academic or General Training), TOEFL iBT, or equivalent test.
3. A student will not be exempted from an English language course if she has discontinued the course or received a Denied (DN) grade.
4. English language courses in the College of Languages are not eligible for exemption.
5. The student's exemption will be canceled if she discontinues her studies during the semester in which she was admitted to the university.
6. The University's applicable rules and regulations will be enforced if any submitted documents are found to be forged or unauthenticated. In such cases, the student will not be permitted to submit another exemption request for English language courses.

How to Submit an English Language Course Exemption Request

The request is submitted online, and there is no need to visit the University or the English Language Institute to submit any paper documents. The student can also view the result directly through the service.

• Submit the request through the English Language Course Exemption Request service available on the homepage of the Deanship of Admission and Registration via the following link: Access the service.
• The student may modify her request until the service closes. No changes can be made after the application period ends.
• All submitted documents will be verified by the relevant authority. The request will be considered canceled if it is found to be invalid or does not meet the announced requirements.
• The student must continue attending classes until she is notified of the exemption through the service.
• The student can track her request and view the result through her account on the service.
