First: dropping and adding procedures

Dropping or withdrawaling is not allowed for first and second-level courses across all colleges, except for the College of Languages and Applied College, where dropping or withdrawing is only allowed for first-level courses.

A registered student in the second level, with registered courses from an advanced level, shall be entitled to drop and add courses from the advanced level according to the conditions.

2- The student/graduate shall review the academic plan to ensure that the previous and current requirements of the registered courses are fulfilled. The certificate evaluation shall be reviewed to identify required courses to register before initiating any drop or add action. Student shall assume full responsibility for any lapses in this regard.

3-The student with struggles shall register for the courses with setbacks first. The student is allowed to add any additional courses afterward according to her academic plan to complete at least the minimum required credit units.

4- The student shall be entitled to add courses from two higher levels as a maximum. The registration progressing according to the academic plan levels, starting from the lower level to the higher level, in accordance with the provisions of the transitioning between levels.

5- The student shall adhere to the maximum and minimum of the educational burden permitted for registration (without prejudice to the number of hours of level in the approved study plan), as follows:The educational burden for the first and second semesters:

When adding an elective course, the following must be taken into consideration:


1-The elective courses must be outside the student's academic plan.
2- The total number of credit hours for registered courses as elective is equal to the total number of required elective courses in the academic plan.

3- The student who fulfills the elective courses shall not be entitled to register an additional elective course. In the case of registration, the course shall be deleted by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

4- The student shall access the schedule through the (Student Detail Schedule) page. The student shall be committed to attending all registered courses and monitor the schedule until the end of the third week.

Important definitions …

Student Detail Schedule: is a schedule that displays all details of the registered course, including lecture times and the final exam schedule. Meanwhile, the weekly schedule shows the timings of recorded lectures for each week without specifying the final exam timing.

The student is not allowed to attend a section not registered in, and attendance in such a section will not be counted. She will be considered deprived in that course and attending more than one section for the same course is not allowed.The university email is very important for the student, as it is used to access instructions and updates regarding the registration process.:


Here is an explanation of the messages that may appear to students during the add/drop period or when submitting an electronic schedule adjustment form:

6Previous course not passedYou have not met the prerequisite for the course you wish to add, so you cannot register.
7The course has been passed.The course has been passed in a previous semester, so you cannot register.
8The seats reserved for your major are closed, and currently available seats are for other majors.The remaining seats in the section are for majors other than yours, so you cannot register for the course.
9Time conflict with a registered courseThe course conflicts in time (lecture or exam time) with a course already registered in your schedule, so you cannot register.
10Minimum requirements prevent you from dropping a courseThe course cannot be dropped, as you have exceeded the minimum allowed study load for registration, which is 12 hours.​

Second: Guidelines for submitting an electronic schedule adjustment form.

The service for submitting requests electronically will be available after the add/drop period ends. Each student is entitled to submit or modify a maximum of five add/drop requests within the specified period. Therefore, requests must be entered carefully and prioritized. No additional requests will be considered. Submitting a request does not guarantee its execution, and responses to requests, whether approved or not, will be provided by the college within a period not exceeding 24 hours.
