The "Visitor" Program

A program that allows a student to take courses at another Saudi university temporarily without transferring her file, due to relocation or other reasons.

 Conditions for Applying to the "Visitor" Program:

  1. The student must be Saudi or have a Saudi mother.
  2. The student should not be academically warned or have a "suspended" status.
  3. The application must be submitted according to the deadlines announced in the university calendar.
  1. The student must obtain prior approval from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
  2. The study must take place at a Saudi public university.
  3. The student must follow the academic calendar of the host university.​

Regulations for Selecting Courses in the "Visitor" Program:

  1. Courses must be from the student's current or next academic level, based on the approved study plan.
  2. The course must match in credit hours and have at least 75% content similarity with the original.
  3. A maximum of 25% of the total graduation credit hours (equivalent to two semesters) can be counted from outside the university.
  4. Semesters studied within the Visitor Program count towards the student's regular study duration.

 Student Grades in the "Visitor" Program:

1. Grades from the Visitor Program are not included in the student's cumulative GPA.

2. Grades are recorded as:

Pass (ND - NP): For grades of at least C+.

Fail without grade (HD - NF): For grades between 60 and less than 75.

Fail (H): For grades below 60, and the student is not eligible for honors.

Procedures for Applying to the "Visitor" Program 

 

Procedures to be followed by the Student:

  1. Consulting with her academic advisor to select appropriate courses according to the regulations.
  2. Visiting the host university to obtain a stamped copy of the course descriptions.
  3. Confirming course availability for the desired semester with the host university.
  4. Completing the "Visitor Program Application Form" on the Deanship of Admissions and Registration website.
  5. Submitting the application to the college's Equivalency Coordinator, with a copy of her university ID and latest academic transcript.

Procedures to be followed by the Equivalency Coordinator at the College:

1. Complete the course equivalency process as is done for students transferring from other universities.

2. Fill out all required fields in the application form (available on the website).

3. Contact the student after the form is completed, providing her with a copy of the application after all fields are filled and stamped.

4. Send the completed form via the official email to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration by the stated deadlines.

Procedures to be followed by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration:

1. The student is provided with an official letter to study at the host university.

2. The student's academic status is recorded in the academic system as "Visitor."

 3. The student must submit her official academic transcript to the Deanship before the end of the first week of the semester following her visitor study period.

4. The Visitor Program Coordinator records the courses taken, applying course equivalency regulation

5. If eligible, the monthly allowance is disbursed upon submitting her results to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration.

​ Notes:

1. If the student is unable to continue her studies for any reason, she must submit a withdrawal request (if eligible) to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

2. The student must also notify the host university and cancel her enrollment according to the university's study regulations.

3. Results from the visitor semester will not be recognized, and the courses taken as a visitor cannot be equivalenced if the student did not obtain approval from the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

4. If results are not submitted by the end of the first week of the following semester (excluding summer terms), the student will be considered discontinued and her record will be closed.
