A student graduates upon completing all graduation requirements specified in her study plan, provided that her cumulative GPA at graduation is at least 2.00 out of 5.00 for bachelor's and diploma programs. For the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry, the minimum required cumulative GPA is 2.50 out of 5.00.
Graduates are issued an official graduation certificate in both Arabic and English, approved by the Dean of Admission and Registration and bearing the University's official seal. They are also issued an official academic transcript in Arabic, bearing the University's official seal.
Degree Audit
The Degree Audit is a service available through the Student Records system that allows students to view their academic study plan based on their current program. It shows the courses they have completed and those remaining to fulfill their graduation requirements.
Students are fully responsible for verifying that they have fulfilled all graduation requirements for their enrolled program. They should consult their academic advisors and use the Academic System to review their study plans.
Each student must complete a Degree Audit through her academic account once every semester to verify that she is meeting all graduation requirements.

Honors Distinctions
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University awards eligible students First-Class Honors or Second-Class Honors, which are recorded on the student's graduation certificate, subject to the following requirements:
- General Requirements for Honors
- The student must not have failed any course taken at the University or at another university.
- The student must have completed all graduation requirements within the standard completion period.
- The student must have completed at least 60% of the graduation requirements at the University.
- The student must not have been dismissed for disciplinary reasons.
- Cumulative GPA Requirements
Students who meet the general requirements are awarded honors based on their cumulative GPA at graduation as follows:
- First-Class Honors: A cumulative GPA of at least 4.75 out of 5.00.
- Second-Class Honors: A cumulative GPA of 4.25 to 4.74 out of 5.00.
Standard Completion Period
The standard completion period is the period required to complete all graduation requirements. Semesters during which a student withdraws, transfers, studies as a visiting student, or is subject to disciplinary suspension are included in the standard completion period, while semesters of leave of absence or interruption are not included.
How to Calculate the Maximum Standard Completion Period
The maximum standard completion period is calculated by adding half the program's standard duration to its standard duration.
For example, if the program duration specified in the student's study plan is 8 academic semesters, the maximum standard completion period is 12 semesters.
What Happens When the Standard Completion Period Expires?
Under the Study and Examination Regulations of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, a student whose standard completion period expires without completing all graduation requirements will be dismissed. Her academic record will indicate: “Academically Dismissed for Exceeding the Standard Completion Period."
A student who is approaching the end of her standard completion period, specifically in the final semester, must submit a request to her academic department for an exceptional one-semester extension to complete her graduation requirements and follow up on the request until a decision is issued.
