The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University welcomes applications for external transfer. External transfer is an academic process through which a student transfers from her current university to another university due to exceptional circumstances, subject to the approved rules and criteria to ensure the successful continuation of her academic journey.

General Requirements

  1. The application must be submitted during the period announced in the University's academic calendar through the Academic Services Portal.
  2. The student must be a Saudi national or a daughter of a Saudi mother.
  3. The student must not have any previous academic record at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
  4. The student must provide a valid reason for requesting the transfer.
  5. The transfer must be from a public university or a licensed educational institution recognized by the relevant authority.
  6. The student must not have discontinued her studies or been academically or disciplinarily dismissed from her current university.
  7. The student's specialization at her previous university must be compatible with the program to which she is seeking to transfer.
  8. The student must meet the admission requirements and the composite score at which admission to the relevant program or foundation year was closed.
  9. The student must meet any additional requirements specified for specializations and announced by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  10. The student must have completed at least one academic year at her previous university.
  11. The student's cumulative GPA must be at least 3.75 out of 5 or 2.75 out of 4.
  12. At least 60% of the student's graduation requirements must be completed at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
  13. Online Application does not constitute final admission. Applications are subject to review by the relevant committees and a competitive selection process.

 

 

 

Program Requirements and English Language Tests

  • Availability of seats in the requested program.
  • Passing the fitness test and medical examination for transfer to the College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity.
  • Passing the artistic aptitude test for transfer to the College of Art and Design.
  • Passing the admission interview and the required tests for the health colleges.
  • For students transferring to the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry: completing one academic year after the Foundation Year with at least 24 specialization-specific credit hours.

Required Documents for Application

  1. A completed external transfer application form.
  2. An official, stamped academic transcript covering the most recent registered semester.
  3. A copy of the student ID card issued by her previous university.
  4. A copy of a valid national ID.
  5. A copy of the high school diploma and the results of the General Aptitude Test and Achievement Test.
  6. Official supporting documents verifying the reason for the transfer.
  7. Stamped course descriptions for courses completed and courses registered during the application semester.
  8. The approved study plan for the program at the previous university.

Post-Admission Procedures

  1. Review and approve the course equivalency results sent by email within 3 business days.
  2. Submit an updated academic transcript, clearance certificate, and statement showing the most recent stipend payment received.
  3. Have the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University student ID card issued.
  4. Meet with the academic advisor in the college for course registration.
  5. Visit the Stipends Department to collect the bank ATM card.

Course Equivalency Regulations

  • Only courses in which the student earned a grade of C+ (Good) or higher are eligible for equivalency.
  • The course content must match by at least 75%, and the number of credit hours must be equivalent.
  • Equivalent courses are recorded with the code (EQ) and are not included in the cumulative GPA.
  • The cumulative GPA is calculated starting from the first semester the student completes at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
  • Failing grades earned at the previous university are taken into consideration when determining graduation honors.
