Academic situations.

Academic situations are calculated on a semester basis as follows.:

1. Excellence: A student achieves excellence if her semester GPA is (4.50) and the credit hours earned are not less than (12) approved hours.

2. Warning: (A precautionary measure to prevent reaching the dismissal stage) The student is warned in the following cases:

- If her semester GPA is between (1) to less than (2.5)

- If her cumulative GPA is between (2) to less than (2.5)

3. Dismissal: The notification directed to the student due to a decrease in her cumulative GPA to less than (2)

- First Dismissal: The student receives a first dismissal if her cumulative GPA falls below (2)

- Second Dismissal: The student receives a second dismissal if her GPA continues to decrease below (2)

4. Academic dismissal.

First: Bachelor's Degree Stage: The student is academically dismissed from the university in the following cases:

1- If the student receives three consecutive warnings due to a cumulative GPA below 2 out of 5.

2- A fourth chance (for one academic semester) is given to the student who can raise her cumulative GPA to 2 by taking available courses.

3- Fourth Warning (Academic dismissal): The student is permanently dismissed from the university if the student fails to raise her cumulative GPA during the fourth chance semester.

4- If the graduation requirements are not completed within the standard duration, which is the program duration plus half, the student is granted an exceptional opportunity to complete the graduation requirements with the approval of the student's college.

: Secondly: Diploma Degree Stage

 

1- If the student receives two consecutive warnings due to a cumulative GPA below 2 out of 5.

2- A third chance (for one semester) is granted to the student who can raise her cumulative GPA to 2 by taking available courses.

3- Third warning (academic dismissal): The student is permanently dismissed from the university if she fails to raise her cumulative GPA during the third opportunity semester.

4- If the student does not complete the graduation requirements within a maximum period equal to half of the specified graduation period in addition to the program duration, she is granted an exceptional opportunity with the condition of approval from the student's college.
