Scholarships at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia offers scholarships to non-Saudi students to pursue higher education at Saudi universities. These scholarships aim to convey the message of Islam, promote the learning of the Arabic language, disseminate knowledge, and strengthen cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and countries around the world in service of humanity.
The Scholarships Department at the Deanship of Admission and Registration at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University oversees the implementation of scholarship programs at the University. It also regulates admission procedures in accordance with the regulations approved by the Ministry of Education, as stipulated in the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (94) dated 29/3/1431 AH, which governs the admission of non-Saudi scholarship students to higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Academic Scholarship:
An academic scholarship is awarded to eligible non-Saudi female students to pursue their studies at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
Types of Academic Scholarships:
- External scholarships for non-Saudi female students residing outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Internal scholarships for non-Saudi female students residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a valid residence permit (Iqama).
Internal scholarships:
Admission Requirements for Internal Scholarships:
Applicants for internal scholarships are subject to the same admission requirements and academic regulations applied to Saudi students at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The following conditions apply:
- The applicant must be between 17 and 25 years of age for the bachelor’s degree or the diploma program at the Institute of Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers.
- The applicant must hold a high school certificate or its equivalent, obtained from inside or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The applicant must have taken the General Aptitude Test and the Achievement Test administered by the National Center for Assessment for admission to a bachelor’s degree program or an applied college diploma.
- The applicant must not have previously received another scholarship from any educational institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The applicant must not have a previous academic record at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
- The applicant must have obtained her high school certificate within the past five years.
- The applicant must be medically fit and pass the medical examination required by applicable regulations.
- The applicant must not have been dismissed from any educational institution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- The applicant must hold a valid residence permit (Iqama).
- The student must fulfill any conditions specified by the University Council and announced at the time of application.
- Tuition fees must be paid after final admission, except for students admitted to the diploma program at the Institute of Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, as follows:
- Tuition fees for the bachelor's degree scholarship students:
- Students are required to pay tuition fees after receiving final admission, except for those admitted to the diploma program at the Institute of Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, as follows:

Note: The announced tuition fees do not include 15% Value Added Tax (VAT).
2. Tuition fees must be deposited directly into the University’s account at the Saudi British Bank (SABB) Account Number (075155150004).
The student must submit the payment receipt stamped by the bank, showing the student’s name and residence permit number (Iqama), to the Finance Affairs Department at the Deanship of Admission and Registration. (Payments made via online transfer or ATM will not be accepted )
3. Students are required to pay tuition fees before the beginning of each academic semester. Please note that course registration will not be possible unless the required tuition fees have been paid.
Withdrawal Policy:
- If a student wishes to withdraw before the start of the semester, she must notify the Scholarships Department by email.
- Students are entitled to a full refund of tuition fees if they withdraw before the official start of the semester.
- Students may be eligible for a partial refund of tuition fees if they withdraw after the official start of the semester, as follows:

4.After the withdrawal request has been approved, the student must visit the Financial Affairs Unit to claim any refundable fees, if applicable, and submit the following documents:
- Original residence permit (Iqama).
- Bank-stamped tuition payment receipt.
5-The student is not entitled to a refund of tuition fees after three weeks have passed from the start of actual study.
Withdrawal and Study Deferral Policy:
- If a student submits a request for semester withdrawal within one month from the start of classes, the tuition fees will not be refunded and will be carried forward to the following semester.
- If a student submits a request for withdrawal after one month from the start of classes, she will not be entitled to any refund of tuition fees.
- No tuition fees will be charged for the deferred semester, provided that the student has no outstanding financial obligations to the University.
- If the student enrolls in the summer semester, tuition fees will be calculated based on the number of credit hours registered in major requirements (specialization courses), after reporting to the Financial Affairs Department at the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
- The University reserves the right to suspend the student’s course schedule and withhold academic results in the event of non-payment of tuition fees, without prior notice. Accordingly, the student is responsible for regularly checking her academic account and the University’s website for updates.
- Students are responsible for keeping their personal and contact information up to date. The University will not be liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate or outdated information, including failure to receive official notifications.
- The university must be notified if the student does not wish to complete her studies.
- The student is required to complete her academic studies within the maximum duration permitted by the University.
- The student must comply with all University rules and regulations. In the event of any violation, the University reserves the right to terminate the scholarship.
Required Documents for Internal Scholarship Applications:
- A high school certificate and academic transcript. If the applicant obtained her high school certificate from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it must be officially equivalized by the Certificate Equivalency Committee at the Ministry of Education.
- A valid residence permit (Iqama) for the applicant.
- A valid passport for the applicant.
Note: Applicants are required to present the original documents listed above upon receiving final admission for verification purposes.
Admission Criteria for Internal Scholarships at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University:
- Applications are open to all majors available in the year of admission, with the exception of health-related majors across all departments, in accordance with Council of Ministers Resolution No. (94) dated 29/3/1431 AH, which regulates the admission of non-Saudi scholarship students to higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Non-Arabic-speaking students admitted under the scholarship program are enrolled in the Arabic Language Diploma.
Admission to bachelor’s degree programs for internal scholarship applicants at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is based on the composite score, which consists of the combined results of the high school certificate, the General Aptitude Test, and the Achievement Test, in accordance with the criteria specified for each year of admission.

Procedures for applying for a scholarship application at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University:
- Electronic application through a registration link designated for non-Saudi female applicants from within the Kingdom according to the dates announced on the electronic page of the Deanship of Admission and Registration on the university’s website: (click here)
- All required documents are sent via the link with the PDF-JPEG form and sent.
- Upon completion of the application, the applicant will be given the application number, and the applicant will be responsible for following up on the registration application submitted through the electronic registration link to view its status.
- After the applicant obtains the initial approval of the electronic registration application according to the directives of the Ministry of Education, a final approval request is submitted for her admission to study at the university, and she is notified after obtaining the final approval. of the contact information recorded in her application.
Scholarship End Procedures:
According to the regulation of admission controls for non-Saudis in higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their sponsorship stipulated by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. (94) dated 3/29/1431 AH:
- If the original program period has expired, it can not be extended by more than half of it.
General Provisions and Warnings:
- Exclude any application that does not meet the required conditions and documents.
- Applying electronically and getting approval means the applicant gets initial but not final nomination unless she is informed about that, the accepted student will be notified after her final acceptance.
- The applicant undertakes that all data and documents entered in her application are correct, and in the event otherwise, the university has the right to exclude the application.
- According to what is stipulated in the regulation of admission controls for non-Saudis in higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their sponsorship by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. (94) dated 29/3/1431 AH:
- The scholarship applicant shall be subject to the residency regulations in the Kingdom.
- The scholarship student is not entitled to transfer from one university to another, and the university has the right to make an exception from this in the cases it considers appropriate.
- The university informs the concerned official authorities in the Kingdom of scholarship students whose postponement, apology or withdrawal has been accepted, as well as scholarship students who have dropped out of studies for any reason, in order to take the necessary measures.
