​​         Article (20) in the regulations of studies and exams for the university stage

The student is dismissed from the university in the following cases:​

1-If a student receives three consecutive warnings for her cumulative GPA falling below the specified graduation GPA according to Article (19) of these regulations, and upon the recommendation of the college council, the university council may give a fourth opportunity to those who can raise their cumulative GPA by studying available courses.


2-If a student does not complete the graduation requirements within a maximum period of half the specified duration for her graduation, in addition to the program duration, the university council may grant an exceptional opportunity for the student to complete the graduation requirements within a maximum period not exceeding double the original duration specified for graduation.

In exceptional cases, the university council shall address the situations of students who fall under the provisions of the two preceding paragraphs by granting them an exceptional opportunity not exceeding two academic semesters.​


The executive regulation for Article (20) of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University:


The student is academically dismissed from the university in one of the following cases:

1- If a student receives three consecutive academic warnings for her cumulative GPA falling below (2) out of (5), the Deanship of Admissions and Registration may give a fourth opportunity to those who can raise their cumulative GPA by studying some courses.

If the student does not complete the graduation requirements within a maximum period of half the specified duration for her graduation, in addition to the program duration.                                                         

2- The college council may grant the student (in paragraph b) an exceptional period to complete the graduation requirements, not exceeding two academic semesters. The university council (or its delegate) may also grant the student an exceptional period not exceeding two academic semesters, not exceeding double the original duration specified for graduation.


3- The summer semester is not included in the calculation of the exceptional opportunity.                                                                                                                                                                               


4- The student is dismissed from the College of Medicine and Dentistry if the student receives two consecutive warnings (her cumulative GPA falls below 2.5).
