Second: Guidelines for Course Registeration

1.            To register courses, students use (Course Registeration)icon in PNU website or through the following link:

https://xessreg.pnu.edu.sa/StudentRegistrationSsb/ssb/registration

2.            Courses that cannot be dropped are: Foundation year courses & Level 1 courses in all colleges.

3.             Level 2 students can drop the courses of higher levels and add other higher level courses according to PNU regulations.

4.            A Student can add courses of maximumly 2 levels higher than her current level taking into consideration that adding these courses should be in sequence with the student's program plan: Low to High.

5.            A student status will be marked as (drop out due to non-registration) in case of not registering any courses in the specified periods without submitting requests of postponement (until the end of week 2) or dropping a semester (by the end of week 3)

6.            Students should commit to the allowed maximum and minimum number of credit hours in the study load for course registration.

*The study load for a student who has academic warning or chance after academic dismissal for low GPA is as follows:

Credit hours registered
12

7.            While adding a free course, take the following into consideration:

-                   The free course should not be included in the student's program plan as it must be assigned by the student's college.

-                   The total credit hours for the free courses registered must match the credit hours in the student's program plan.

-                   A student who completed and fulfilled free courses in her program plan must not add extra free courses. If so, she will not be allowed to drop the free course.

-                   A student should commit to register the credit hours in the free and elective courses as specified in her program plan. (the student cannot register a free course of 2 credit hours while the required in the program plan is 3 credit hours and vice versa). The student is held responsible in the case of not comiiting to that.

Third: Important instructions in the course registration period:

  1. Regular and senior students should doublecheck that they fulfilled the prerequisite and corequisite courses and review Degree Evaluation in the Student Self-service on the Academic System To know the courses they must register before they begin to add and drop courses.
  2. Academically struggling students should first add the courses they struggle with; after that, they can add their other courses according to their program plan till at least fulfill the minimum number of credit hours according to their study load.
  3. Students should view their schedules and commit to attend classes of the registered courses. Students should also follow up with their schedules until the end of week 3 to double check their registered courses and avoid missing classes or having  a DN.
  4. A student cannot attend in a section that she did not register. If so, she will be marked as absent or DN. She cannot as well attend more than one section of the same course.
  5. A student should make sure that her final exams do not overlap and is held responsible for that.
  6. following up the PNU  email is highly important to view instructions and updates in the registration process.
  7. A student can communicate students' affairs in her college if she faces any difficulties in course registration.
  8. To communicate the administration of course registration in ARD, with anything related to add/drop courses, send an email to dar-reg@pnu.edu.sa. To ensure quick response, your email should be as follows:
