The College of Engineering was established in 2018. It was founded to be the first female college of its type in a public university in Riyadh. The college commenced its academic activities by accepting 75 students across three academic programs: Bachelor of Industrial and System Engineering, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering – Electronics Engineering, and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering- Communications Engineering. Today, following seven years since its establishment, the student enrollment has increased to 1229, and the academic offerings have broadened to encompass a Biomedical Engineering program and a Renewable Energy Engineering program. As a result, the college has become the largest engineering college for female education in the Kingdom and the first to offer the program of Renewable Energy Engineering.
