The College of Engineering was established in 2018. It was founded to be the first female college of its type in a public university in Riyadh. The college commenced its academic activities by accepting 75 students across three academic programs: Bachelor of Industrial and System Engineering, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering – Electronics Engineering, and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering- Communications Engineering. Today, following five years since its establishment, the student enrollment has increased to 1007, and the academic offerings have broadened to encompass a Biomedical Engineering program and a Renewable Energy Engineering program. As a result, the college has become the largest engineering college for female education in the Kingdom and the first to offer the program of Renewable Energy Engineering. Moreover, the college is equipped with 21 well-appointed laboratories featuring the latest engineering education technologies. These facilities stand out with devices rarely seen elsewhere in the Kingdom. This infrastructure supports students in hands-on practical applications, offering them an ideal setting for research, innovation, and project accomplishment.
