Career opportunities

Female telecommunications engineers work in the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and development of wired and wireless communication devices and networks in the following areas: Fields of mobile communication across its various generations and types. Applications of automatic control and the security of civil and military communication networks. Fields of radio, television, and satellite broadcasting. Landline and mobile telephone networks using fiber-optic communication. Communication networks for banking, commerce, government, and distance e-learning. Marine and air navigation systems in ports and airports.

Nature and Goals of the Program

This program is set to prepare professional engineers qualified in all aspects of communications systems and computer networks. It enables them to enter directly into the labor market and keep up with the latest relevant technologies. Throughout this program, students will be provided with a solid scientific qualification in the technical skills required to design and implement communications networks and determine data traffic and security methods. Thus, Graduates will be able to perform maintenance and management operations for various network types, by effectively analyzing system problems and deducing optimal solutions.

1 Enhance the quality of education and learning for the communications engineering program to prepare distinguished graduates equipped with scientific theories, practical skills, competitive abilities, and a strong sense of professional ethics.
2 Link scientific research with the requirements of sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and community needs.
3 Promote community partnerships in communications engineering fields.

K1 Define knowledge of mathematical concepts including differential and integral calculus, probability, and statistics, along with their applications in the field of Communications Engineering.
K2 Recognize electrical engineering principles including processes, materials, techniques, and practices in the field of Communications Engineering.
K3 Identify specialized knowledge based on new developments related to the field of Communications Engineering.
K4 Integrate knowledge of research methodologies in reports and research related to the field of Communications Engineering.
S1 Apply Basic concepts, theories, and mathematical principles to solve complex problems related to the field of Communications Engineering.
S2 Conduct complex practical tasks and procedures related to Communications Engineering by applying advanced processes, techniques, tools, and instruments.
S3 Design a system, component, or process to solve Communications Engineering problems while considering realistic constraints (cultural, social, environmental, economic, health, and safety).
S4 Evaluate contemporary issues and problems in Communications systems, components, and processes using critical thinking and creative solutions in various complex contexts.
S5 Communicate effectively to demonstrate theoretical knowledge comprehension and specialized transfer of knowledge, skills, and complex ideas.
