About the Department
The Electrical Engineering Department was established in 1439 Hijri within the College of Engineering in Princess Norah Bint Abdulrahman University. It offers three recent programs Electronics Engineering (158 credit hours), Communications Engineering (158 credit hours) and Renewable Energy Engineering (162 credit hours) to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Department Vision: Excellence in all specializations and fields of electrical engineering and scientific research, while promoting and supporting social responsibility and sustainable development.
Department Mission: Preparing highly qualified female electrical engineers who are capable of competing effectively both locally and globally across all disciplines of electrical engineering. This is achieved by providing them with a comprehensive academic environment that aims to enhance their knowledge and skills, supports innovation and scientific research, in order to contribute to the attainment of national goals related to sustainable development and community service. The department is committed to excellence in teaching, the adoption of modern educational strategies, and the promotion of responsibility and ethical awareness. It seeks to empower its students to pursue excellence and creativity. The programs are designed to meet labor market demands, align outcomes with the knowledge economy, and contribute to fulfilling national human development needs.
