About The Academic Program

Nature and Goals of the Program

Biomedical Engineering serves as a bridge between the fields of Engineering and Medicine. The primary aim of this program is to design and maintain a range of medical devices that assist doctors in accurately diagnosing medical conditions, identifying appropriate treatment approaches, and achieving positive results that support patients' swift recovery. Biomedical Engineering combines biomedical sciences, physiology, and engineering disciplines such as computer engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering. The aim is to understand the nature of diseases from all perspectives, handle them effectively, and design suitable medical and compensatory devices.

Career opportunities

The program qualifies engineering graduates to design, maintain, and develop medical devices. It also enables them to monitor the quality systems of medical devices, as well as medical measurement systems and devices. Graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, and other medical centers, and be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of medical equipment, and devices.
