College of Computer and Information Sciences concludes "Game Builders Bootcamp"

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded the "Game Builders Bootcamp." Organized as part of the AI Hub community initiative, the program aimed to empower female students in digital game development, transitioning them from hobbyists to professionals through a hands-on training experience. The five-day camp provided a practical educational experience focused on building modern interactive games. The curriculum focused on: * Game Engine Mastery: Hands-on training using Unity. * Cutting-edge Tech: Integrating Virtual Reality (VR) techniques to align with modern tech industry requirements. * Comprehensive Modules: * Foundations of the Unity environment and game architecture. * Programming gameplay and control mechanics. * UI/UX Design (User Interface and User Experience). * Integrating VR into game development, led by female specialists in the field. Dr. Shrooq Alsenan, Director of the AI Center, stated: "This bootcamp is part of the Center's efforts to empower students to acquire advanced technical skills and enhance the presence of women in digital innovation and the gaming industry, keeping pace with the rapid developments in AI and virtual interaction." The organization of this bootcamp reflects the AI Center’s commitment to providing high-quality programs that build technical capabilities and prepare students for future digital industries. It further supports Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan by achieving excellence in teaching and learning while fostering essential skills, knowledge, and values.
