Overview

The Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University was established based on the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, on 28/09/1431 AH, to serve as a distinguished academic center specializing in teaching Arabic as a second language.

Dean’s Message

The Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Arabic Speakers at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University stands as a global cultural gateway of the university, bringing together students from diverse nationalities around the world. Within its vibrant environment, cultures meet, interact, and connect through intellectual and civilizational exchange—united under the roof of one language. 

Established with the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz – may he rest in peace – on 28/09/1431 AH, the institute has since been devoted to developing the essential frameworks and foundations that enable it to thrive as a distinguished academic beacon in the field of teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. 

Guided by a clear and ambitious vision and in alignment with its mission, the institute strives to advance the teaching and learning of the Arabic language through innovative academic, training, and research programs. It also continues to forge strong local and international partnerships that enrich its impact and reach. 

The institute remains steadfast in its commitment to excellence, continuously enhancing its educational outcomes and services in accordance with the highest standards of comprehensive quality. 

In conclusion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the President of the University, for her unwavering support of the institute. My sincere thanks also go to the institute’s faculty members and administrative staff for their dedication and tireless efforts in achieving the institute’s objectives and furthering the mission of both the university and the institute in serving the Arabic language.​
