The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched the “Language Editing Center of Excellence” project to serve faculty members, researchers, academic and administrative entities, and individuals interested in scholarly and knowledge production both inside and outside the university. The project is a specialized knowledge initiative providing language editing, academic editing, and media content services to enhance the quality of academic and administrative outputs and promote the accuracy and integrity of the Arabic language in institutional and scholarly production. Services include language editing, academic editing, stylistic review, linguistic consultations, content creation, specialized training programs, and raising awareness of the importance of language in producing rigorous academic and professional content. The project also offers virtual services and online consultation sessions with beneficiary entities to discuss linguistic and scholarly matters. It provides integrated communication and editorial solutions that support institutional image building and strengthen media and digital presence through professionally crafted strategic content. Specialized experts enable entities to communicate messages efficiently and clearly through high-quality content that enhances engagement, enriches digital experiences, and supports growth and sustainability pathways. The project supports scientific research through accurate linguistic content, improves the quality of academic and administrative texts, promotes the presence of Arabic in knowledge production, and establishes an accredited institutional linguistic reference.
It also provides training and practical opportunities for students of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, enhancing the quality of their research outputs and readiness for publication or academic evaluation. The Dean of the College, Dr. Fatimah Al-Qubaisi, explained that the project comes at a time of rapid growth in the content industry and increasing demand for professional, error-free content. She added that the initiative enhances the quality of written Arabic discourse, strengthens media credibility, supports digital transformation through professional content, and helps institutions build a strong linguistic identity that supports the knowledge economy. The launch aligns with the college’s commitment to developing scientific and academic outputs in line with the university’s strategic plan by achieving excellence in teaching and learning, strengthening research and innovation systems, and producing high-quality scholarly content.
