In Cooperation with the College of Dentistry: Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education Concludes the Artificial Intelligence Conference

The Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, concluded today, Wednesday 4 February 2026, the third edition of the conference titled “Artificial Intelligence in Dental Education: Challenges and Solutions,” targeting students and faculty members of dental colleges in Saudi Arabia. The conference was held at the University Conference and Convention Center. The two-day conference was attended by a number of physicians and specialists and aimed to discuss future trends and perspectives in integrating artificial intelligence into scientific research and medical education in dental education and practice. It also reviewed modern tools and technologies, enhanced collaboration among academics, researchers, and practitioners, and facilitated the exchange of best scientific and professional practices. The conference program included five specialized lectures, accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, including: “Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Clinical Dental Courses,” “Artificial Intelligence Applications and Tools for Dental Educators,” and “Ethics and Data Privacy in AI-Supported Dental Education,” in addition to a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence Tools for Outstanding Scientific Research” and a panel discussion on “Fifty Years of Dental Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” The conference also featured an accompanying exhibition with several AI startups and scientific societies, showcasing applications and technologies supporting e-learning and clinical dental practice, contributing to expanding the knowledge of dental students and professionals in continuing education. The conference witnessed nominations for the best scientific posters by a specialized judging committee, submitted by participants as part of the “Scientific Research Competition in Dental Education.” The posters highlighted several topics, including curriculum design and development in dentistry, competency-based education and assessment, simulation, modern technologies, and virtual reality. The conference aligns with the roles of the Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education, in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, in advancing the level of medical education and contributing to the achievement of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan objectives by supporting future directions in dental education and practice, excellence in healthcare systems, and providing a supportive environment for research and innovation.
