The Deanship of Development and Quality at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized, during the past month of January, a package of training programs aimed at enhancing the efficiency of research practices among faculty members, supporting scientific research, and improving the quality of academic outputs. The programs included several workshops, most notably: the “Researcher Digital Identity” workshop, which introduced the concept of digital identity and its importance in enhancing research visibility; the “Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in Information Mining” workshop; and the “Publishing in Scientific Journals According to Global Quality Indicators” workshop, contributing to improving research quality and advancing the standard of scientific publishing. In a related context, the Deanship’s Excellence in Teaching and Learning Program delivered a training session on the policy for using generative artificial intelligence, targeting faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The session aimed to clarify the guidelines for academic use of artificial intelligence in the educational process, ensuring responsible use of modern technologies and maintaining academic integrity. Additionally, the Deanship hosted the “Saudi–Omani Research Forum,” with the participation of several researchers and innovators. The forum included a range of activities and programs, including a workshop titled “Publishing in Journals Indexed in Web of Science (WOS)” to exchange expertise and strengthen academic partnerships. These initiatives align with the role of the Deanship of Development and Quality in achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan through excellence in teaching and learning, support of scientific research, and the preparation of competitive competencies in scientific and research fields.
