During the past month, the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a series of training programs for university affiliates, including faculty members, administrative staff, and students. This initiative was implemented within the framework of supporting knowledge and research practices and enhancing scientific capabilities. Represented by the Vice Deanship for Library Affairs, the Deanship held a dialogue session entitled “The Arabic Language and the Formation of Identity,” which discussed the role of social media in strengthening linguistic identity and its importance in the digitalization of identity within the map of Saudi architecture. In addition, a dialogue session entitled “The Importance of Oral and Audio Heritage and a Review of Efforts to Preserve Oral Heritage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” was held, aiming to introduce the Oral Heritage Preservation Project and highlight its alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Deanship, represented by the Vice Deanship for Library Affairs, also implemented a dialogue session entitled “Knowledge Management Techniques in Information Institutions,” which addressed challenges and strategies related to knowledge management in a hybrid work environment, in addition to reviewing the requirements of knowledge management systems in accordance with ISO standards. On the research side, the Deanship organized a discussion session entitled “The Mechanism for Applying for the Researcher Task Facilitation Service,” which shed light on the steps and procedures for submission and reviewed the required forms. The Deanship also conducted a research clinic entitled “Strategies to Increase Research Citations,” aimed at introducing the most prominent strategies for increasing scholarly citations and reviewing the most important supporting databases, thereby contributing to improving research quality and supporting research excellence. It is noteworthy that these efforts come within the role of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries in contributing to the achievement of the strategic plan objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, and in supporting the educational and research process by providing a knowledge-based environment founded on the latest research practices through training programs that meet the highest quality standards.
