The Medical Skills and Simulation Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized a series of specialized training programs aimed at developing clinical skills, enhancing the efficiency of healthcare practitioners, and providing a training environment that meets the highest international standards. The training activities included advanced programs in cosmetic surgery, in addition to training programs on Life Support Training (LST) and emergency medicine for resident physicians, with the participation of experts and trainees from inside and outside the Kingdom. The Center hosted the Saudi Face 2 course, one of the most specialized cosmetic surgery events in the Middle East, featuring 24 expert speakers in surgical and non-surgical facial aesthetics and attended by approximately 270 trainees from within and beyond the Kingdom. The course included multiple scientific sessions, workshops, and practical applications on the latest techniques and advanced procedures in cosmetic surgery, contributing to enhancing trainees’ expertise and raising practitioners’ competency. This reflects the Center’s readiness and capacity as one of the leading accredited destinations in this field at both the local and international levels. In a related context, the Center’s Life Support Training (LST) Unit conducted two blended-learning courses titled HeartCode BLS and the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course, as part of the Center’s efforts to enhance healthcare practitioners’ skills and readiness to handle critical cases in accordance with the latest approved standards. The Center also organized a training program for emergency medicine residents at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital entitled Emergency Medicine Residency Program Board Review, aimed at enhancing residents’ competency in assessing, diagnosing, and rapidly managing critical cases through the application of realistic and safe simulation scenarios. These specialized training programs are part of the Medical Skills and Simulation Center’s role in contributing to the achievement of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s strategic plan objectives by enhancing the quality of health training and education, developing an innovative learning environment, and empowering specialized national competencies in accordance with the highest standards.
