Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the College of Education and Human Development, and in collaboration with the Early Childhood Agency at the Ministry of Education, will organize the “Childhood Thrives in 2030” conference on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, at the university’s Conference and Convention Center. The conference serves as a platform for shaping policies that support the growth of future generations, with the participation of leaders from the education sector, institutions, Saudi authorities, experts, and specialists in childhood-related fields. The event will present sustainable solutions for investing in childhood by highlighting initiatives and plans aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 in improving children’s quality of life, enhancing their rights, and ensuring their healthy, psychological, and social development. It will also present key studies and best practices in early childhood education, the future of children in the digital age, and provide opportunities for discussion and exchange of expertise. Through its panel discussions, specialized workshops, and accompanying exhibition, the conference aims to achieve several strategic objectives, including raising awareness among families and caregivers about digital safety strategies for children, within the framework of the Crown Prince’s Initiative for “Protecting Children in Cyberspace.” It also aims to highlight the Ministry of Education’s achievements in advancing sustainable development goals in childhood, introduce the fundamentals of psychological well-being in early childhood, and promote the use of technology and artificial intelligence in developing children’s skills, ultimately enhancing the role of school environments in fostering well-being and psychological health. The conference will also witness the announcement of the winners of the “Noura Childhood Award,” which was launched in September to honor outstanding national efforts in improving children’s quality of life and psychological well-being and to highlight recent developments in child protection. The “Childhood Thrives in 2030” conference supports the strategic goals of Princess Nourah University 2025 by building a knowledge-based community that supports childhood, creating safe educational and health environments, and strengthening national and international partnerships—thereby contributing to the quality of life for children and affirming the university’s commitment to its leading role in childhood and human development.
