Under the Theme “Saudi Women in the National Vision”… Princess Nourah University Celebrates International Women’s Day

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University celebrated International Women’s Day on Sunday evening, March 8, 2026, under the theme “Saudi Women in the National Vision: Empowerment with Confidence and Leadership through Innovation,” in the presence of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Fawzia bint Suleiman Al-Amro, along with a distinguished group of female leaders, businesswomen, representatives of community work, and members of the diplomatic sector. The event was held at the University Conference and Seminar Center. The ceremony highlighted the vital role of women as a central pillar in building societies, as well as the university’s role in preparing distinguished female competencies across various specialized fields. It also showcased the continuous support and empowerment that Saudi women receive from the wise leadership, reflecting their position as effective partners in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The ceremony included an official reception and visual presentations that highlighted the achievements and leadership of Saudi women. It also featured an interactive exhibition focusing on women’s contributions across governmental, private, and non-profit sectors, in addition to showcasing successful experiences of female entrepreneurs. A dedicated pavilion for scholarship students was also organized to highlight the developmental role of women in different countries. Various university entities—including vice-rectorates, deanships, colleges, and centers—actively participated in celebrating International Women’s Day through a package of activities that included awareness and interactive booths, educational materials, and informational publications, in addition to diverse activities aimed at promoting awareness and reinforcing positive concepts. This celebration contributes to achieving the objectives of the university’s strategic plan by supporting women’s empowerment, strengthening their knowledge and academic presence, and building a university environment that encourages innovation and learning. It also aims to prepare female leaders capable of contributing effectively to the nation’s sustainable development journey.
