Students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University achieved outstanding results at the STEM Exhibition, held as part of the Girl Powered initiative from January 25–26, 2026, at the University Conference and Convention Center. The students earned top rankings across three major innovation tracks: Computer Science and Technology Innovation, Engineering Innovations, and Science and Mathematics Innovations, reflecting their strong technical capabilities and creative excellence. The project “Smart Gold Scale” won first place in the Computer Science and Technology Innovation Track. Developed by student Lina Ahmed Aldakhil, the project introduces an innovative smart scale that accurately weighs gold and calculates its value based on purity levels and real-time global gold prices. Integrated with a mobile application, the system displays final prices in multiple currencies, enhancing transparency and supporting digital transformation in the gold market. In the same track, the “Shuwairk” project secured second place. Developed by students Haneen Alqahtani, Bayadir Alyami, Sheikha Mohammed, Alanoud Alotaibi, and Dina Alqahtani under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Alqurashi, the project is an AI-powered legal assistant designed to simplify access to legal knowledge. It provides preliminary legal consultations, answers frequently asked questions, and supports basic legal procedures, helping streamline processes and reduce pressure on legal professionals. Commenting on the achievement, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences, Dr. Manal AlOhali , expressed her pride in the students’ success, noting that it reflects their academic excellence and technological innovation. She emphasized the college’s ongoing commitment to supporting its students and empowering them to contribute to national and global technological advancement. This achievement aligns with the university’s strategic objectives to develop competitive competencies, enhance practical and cognitive skills, and strengthen women’s leadership in the Kingdom’s national development journey.
