With the Participation of Approximately 55 Saudi and French Universities: Princess Nourah University Hosts the “Saudi French Universities Roundtable Meeting”

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University hosted today, Thursday, 29 January 2026, the “Saudi French Universities Roundtable Meeting,” organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of University Affairs, with the participation of approximately 55 Saudi and French universities, at the university campus. The meeting aimed to discuss avenues of cooperation and exchange of expertise across several academic and research fields, enhancing international partnerships in the higher education sector, supporting institutional and research development pathways between Saudi and French universities, and contributing to building sustainable cooperation in education, innovation, and knowledge. The meeting program included several key components, such as the official reception of participants, brief introductions to each university, discussions among participating universities, and a visual presentation entitled “The Kingdom’s Priorities in the Education Sector According to Saudi Vision 2030”, delivered by the General Secretariat of the Council of University Affairs. The event was attended by representatives of public and private universities in Saudi Arabia, as well as visiting French universities. A joint panel discussion was also held to explore ways of strengthening cooperation between Saudi and French universities. The event concluded with bilateral discussion sessions between university representatives aimed at deepening opportunities for academic and research partnerships, exchanging institutional expertise, and enhancing prospects for future collaboration. The meeting witnessed the participation of the French national agency Campus France Paris, which is responsible for promoting higher education in France and supporting international students and researchers in their academic journeys at French universities and institutes, in partnership with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. Campus France operates an extensive network of offices in more than 120 countries worldwide. Hosting this meeting underscores Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s role in supporting academic exchange, fostering a knowledge-driven environment that encourages global educational partnerships, and contributing to investment in education as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and the knowledge-based economy. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a globally competitive education system and enhance the Kingdom’s presence on the global education map.
