The College of Languages at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated, from November 1 to 14, 2025, in the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Camp” held at Southwest University in China. The participation aimed to promote cultural and innovative exchange within the framework of the Saudi Chinese Cultural Year 2025. Organized by Southwest University in collaboration with the Department of Asian Languages at Princess Nourah University, the camp focused on showcasing the capabilities of students from the College of Languages across its various departments in building a cultural dialogue that combines academic depth with an innovative vision. Students from the Departments of Translation, Applied Linguistics, English Literature, and Asian Languages contributed to establishing a distinguished model of international collaboration. The camp featured an accompanying exhibition titled “Saudi Culture Through the Five Senses,” where students presented cultural elements representing Saudi handicrafts, traditional textiles, visual displays, and photography. The exhibition also offered a cultural journey highlighting the scents of oud and authentic incense, and sampling traditional Arabic coffee to convey aspects of Saudi culture. The students’ final projects stood out for integrating artificial intelligence technologies to create digital solutions with a national impact. The participants received Certificates of Excellence and Certificates of Achievement in recognition of their active engagement in the camp. The camp concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts between the two universities. Yara Al-Bugami, a student from the College of Design and Arts, presented an artwork titled “Journey of the Sands,” which creatively blended Saudi and Chinese cultural elements. Southwest University gifted a bronze sculpture titled “Welcome Tomorrow,” symbolizing friendship and harmonious coexistence between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China. The camp serves as a practical embodiment of the College of Languages’ efforts to achieve the strategic goals of Princess Nourah University 2025—strengthening global partnerships, empowering students with future skills, preparing competitive talents, enhancing women’s leadership in national development, encouraging international participation, and building bridges of communication with local and global communities.
