The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has launched the program “Ramadan with Peace of Mind”, aiming to promote psychological and social balance during the month of Ramadan for university staff and students. The program seeks to empower beneficiaries to deal positively with the psychological and social changes associated with Ramadan and to provide them with practical skills that contribute to achieving psychological stability, strengthening family balance, and managing energy and stress effectively. The program addresses a series of specialized topics, including “Family Security in Ramadan,” which discusses effective communication strategies within the family; “Mental Health and Prevention in Ramadan,” which introduces methods for preventing stress and developing positive psychological habits; and “Psychological Resilience,” which focuses on building positive thinking and developing emotional regulation skills. The program also covers “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD),” introducing the disorder, its causes, and its most prominent symptoms. These sessions are delivered by several specialists in psychological and social fields. The Head of the Psychological and Social Support Unit at the Deanship, Ms. Aisha Al-Qarni, explained that “the program aims to promote psychological and social awareness and enhance prevention and early support.” She added that “the month of Ramadan represents a valuable opportunity to reorganize priorities and build healthy psychological habits.” This program comes as part of the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Psychological and Social Support Unit, in promoting the concept of psychological and social balance, contributing to achieving the objectives of the strategic plan of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. This is achieved through providing a university environment that supports health and well-being and promotes psychological and social awareness among university staff and students, thereby enhancing the quality of university life.
