College of Computer and Information Sciences Concludes the “Arduino Bootcamp”

The College of Computer and Information Sciences, represented by the Innovation Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, concluded the Arduino Bootcamp held from October 5–16, 2025.
The camp was attended by 31 students from the college and aimed to equip them with fundamental skills in Arduino and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, as well as to enhance their ability to innovate and transform ideas into practical projects.
The bootcamp included a series of specialized and interactive workshops, such as “Introduction to Arduino” and “Understanding Basic Electrical Circuit Components.”
It also provided hands-on training on how to integrate sensors with the Arduino board and develop innovative projects across various fields, in addition to practical applications using Tinkercad tools.
The bootcamp encouraged students to present creative solutions to diverse challenges in community, health, technology, and engineering fields, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovation, communication, and teamwork.
The Director of the Innovation Center, Ms. Wafa Al-Zahrani, stated that “The Arduino Bootcamp is a key step toward raising awareness of future technologies and empowering students to develop solutions to technical challenges, in line with the college’s vision to support research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.”
Meanwhile, the Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah University, Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, emphasized that “The Arduino Bootcamp represents an important milestone in empowering students to gain advanced technical skills in the fields of IoT and innovation, fostering creative thinking and teamwork, in alignment with the university’s vision to support research, innovation, and the development of students’ abilities to turn their ideas into real-world projects.”
