College of Nursing Organizes the Fifth Edition of the Scientific Research Day

The College of Nursing at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized the fifth edition of the “Scientific Research Day,” showcasing (51) research posters by nursing and midwifery students at the undergraduate and master’s levels, with the participation of more than (400) students, at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center. The research posters covered eight main nursing fields, including critical care nursing, maternal and child health nursing, mental health nursing, community health nursing, chronic disease nursing, geriatric nursing, nursing education and skills development, and nursing ethics and practices, with the attendance of faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The event aimed to promote a culture of scientific research and innovation in nursing, exchange research expertise, enhance research collaboration among faculty members, link research to practice to improve healthcare quality, develop students’ critical and research thinking skills, address nursing challenges through scientific research, and support applied research to improve healthcare policies locally. The event included research presentations, scientific discussion sessions, and an exhibition of student and researcher projects, in addition to honoring distinguished contributors in scientific research. Dr. Wafaa Al-Mughayli, Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, and Business at the College of Nursing, stated that the event enhances the status of scientific research and its pivotal role in developing healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes, emphasizing that investment in research is a necessity for graduating competent nursing professionals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
