Noura Cultural Café at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized, during the current month of February, a series of cultural dialogue sessions aimed at raising intellectual and cultural awareness and exchanging experiences among students, faculty members, administrative staff, and those interested in the field, at the college headquarters. The sessions covered diverse themes, including poetic imagery, visual culture, modern technologies, interdisciplinary studies, critical reading, and the humanities and social sciences, contributing to the promotion of dialogue, the development of intellectual awareness, and the enrichment of the university experience. Among the sessions were “Haiku… Words that Paint the Wonder of the Moment,” which introduced the art of haiku and its aesthetic dimensions, contributing to developing literary appreciation and highlighting the ability of short texts to condense meaning; and “Visual Storytelling… A New Path toward Cultural Enlightenment,” which discussed modern techniques for producing impactful and conscious visual content. In a related context, the session “The Future of Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences” addressed the concept of knowledge integration across disciplines to develop analytical and critical thinking skills, in addition to a session on the book by Judge: “What If I’m Wrong?”, which discussed the book’s themes and emphasized the importance of self-reflection, critical awareness, and contemplative thinking within the cultural framework. These sessions come as part of the Cultural Café’s efforts to contribute to achieving the university’s strategic objectives by supporting students’ extracurricular activities, enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, and promoting excellence in teaching and learning.
