Deanship of Student Affairs Hosts the Meeting of Student Advisory Councils of GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutions

The Deanship of Student Affairs hosted the meeting of student advisory councils of universities and higher education institutions across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries on Monday, 20 January 2025. The meeting was attended by approximately 77 students representing 18 local and GCC universities and was held at the University’s Conference and Convention Center. The meeting aimed to strengthen student collaboration among GCC universities and higher education institutions, promote the exchange of expertise, develop leadership skills, and encourage creative thinking. These efforts contribute to unifying future visions and enhancing Gulf integration. The agenda focused on several key themes forming a shared action plan to enhance cooperation among GCC countries in educational and youth-related fields, serving as a foundation for future initiatives that support a unified Gulf vision. The program included accompanying activities such as an introductory tour of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and its facilities, in addition to guided field visits highlighting key cultural and tourism landmarks in the city of Riyadh. The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Donia Al-Faraj, stated that this meeting represents one of the initiatives adopted by the University to strengthen ties among GCC universities, exchange knowledge and experiences, enhance shared cultural and educational cooperation, and promote sustainable collaboration and strong fraternal bonds among Gulf youth. The meeting also contributes to developing decision-making skills and empowering students to achieve their academic and cultural aspirations. Hosting this meeting aligns with the University’s Strategic Plan 2025 by supporting academic excellence and preparing future leaders capable of contributing effectively to community and regional development.
