The College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the health colleges at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, concluded the activities of the Interprofessional Medical Education Program for female students of the health colleges, with the participation of approximately 250 students and the supervision of 40 female supervisors from various health specialties. The program was held at the Medical Skills and Simulation Center at the university. The three-day program aimed to provide a comprehensive educational environment that integrates theoretical academic education with practical training, while developing students’ medical skills within a multidisciplinary setting.n The program aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capital, preparing national cadres in vital fields, achieving leadership in healthcare, and enhancing quality of life through the use of innovative educational technologies. The program included lectures and introductory workshops focusing on the concept of interprofessional learning, in addition to practical applications aimed at enhancing interaction among students from different health disciplines and improving decision-making skills, using medical simulation as a core component. Interprofessional medical education through simulation is considered a vital tool for training students in teamwork and shared decision-making. It allows students to simulate real clinical cases in a safe and controlled environment, deepening their understanding of each specialty’s role within the healthcare team, and enhancing their communication skills and ability to provide comprehensive healthcare. The program falls within the efforts of the College of Pharmacy and the health colleges to contribute to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which focuses on developing a stimulating knowledge environment and providing an integrated and advanced educational experience that prepares healthcare professionals capable of effectively contributing to the development of the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
