The Nourah Cultural Café at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded its cultural, professional, and academic activities for the first semester of the academic year 1446 AH, with the participation of approximately 800 students. A total of 29 diverse dialogue sessions were held with the aim of promoting dialogue and exchanging experiences among students. The cultural segment included events and poetry evenings such as “Poetry and Emotion” and “A Morning of Poetry in Love of the Nation,” in addition to discussion sessions including “Oral Heritage Preservation Project” and “Film Criticism Theory: How Do We Analyze a Film Scene?” The “Poetry and Emotion” session focused on how poetry translates human emotions and everyday life details, enhancing audience understanding of poetry as a means of emotional and cultural communication. It explored the relationship between poetry and emotion, highlighting poetry’s role in documenting individual and collective experiences, and its use as a tool for healing and emotional connection. Professional and academic sessions covered a range of topics, including “Future Planning Between Vision and Challenges,” “How to Build an Attractive Personality,” “How to Chart Your Path to Success,” “The Ethical Charter of Professional Conduct,” “Writing Social Reports in Social Work,” “Modern Training Practices in the Health Sector,” and “Journalistic Interview Project.” It is worth noting that the Nourah Cultural Café seeks to promote intellectual dialogue, empower students, and refine their skills in ways that positively impact them academically and personally. The café hosts sessions across various fields, including personal, professional, cultural, and social development, in addition to organizing interactive projects and workshops. These efforts fall within the role of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences in contributing to the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, by enhancing skills, knowledge, and values, achieving excellence in education and learning, and providing competitive academic outputs that support national development in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030, through the qualitative and quantitative expansion of cultural activities.
