The College of Pharmacy at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched the second edition of the “Teaching and Learning” Certificate Program for Health Specialties, in a step aimed at strengthening teaching and mentoring skills among healthcare practitioners. The program seeks to improve the quality of education and training in healthcare institutions and to provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to enhance professional performance, reflecting the University’s commitment to empowering healthcare competencies and reinforcing the Kingdom’s leadership in the health sector—aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The program develops teaching and mentoring skills through an integrated educational curriculum over six months, supervised by a distinguished group of experts in medical teaching and learning. This comes as part of the College’s continuous efforts to offer high-quality educational programs that keep pace with the latest global trends in health education. The program includes a series of specialized workshops and hands-on activities that enable participants to apply acquired educational skills in classroom and clinical environments, enhancing the teaching and learning experience and promoting best educational practices in the health field. It also aims to help participants build a personal teaching philosophy and develop a comprehensive teaching portfolio that strengthens their capacities and competencies in teaching and mentoring, enabling professional excellence that positively impacts public health. The second edition of the program comes within the College of Pharmacy’s contribution to achieving Princess Nourah University 2025 goals by providing advanced educational programs responsive to health-sector needs, elevating national competencies, and developing the medical education system in the Kingdom in line with global requirements.
