Deanship of Development and Quality Implements a Package of Training Courses and Workshops to Enhance Academic Performance

The Deanship of Development and Quality at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University implemented a comprehensive package of training courses and workshops for faculty members, aimed at facilitating access to academic information, enhancing performance, developing skills, and motivating the continuous improvement of academic outputs in effective and innovative ways. The Deanship delivered a training course entitled “Skills in Using Databases for Research Preparation,” which focused on developing skills in searching electronic information sources and search engines, and on how to select appropriate databases for academic research. In addition, a course entitled “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” was offered, covering the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and its types, as well as neural networks, computer vision, and issues related to ethics and responsibility in artificial intelligence. The Deanship also delivered three specialized workshops, including “University Electronic Systems and Services,” “Distance Learning: Challenges and Solutions,” and “Performance Appraisal.” These workshops focused on introducing digital transformation and its importance, familiarizing participants with electronic systems, explaining the fundamentals of successful distance learning and its application through a range of effective tools, and clarifying the mechanisms and charter of performance evaluation. These initiatives come as part of the Deanship of Development and Quality’s contribution to achieving Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to achieve excellence in teaching and learning, enrich knowledge and skills, promote the professional development of faculty members, and improve core learning outcomes.
