The College of Education and Human Development at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded the “General Educational Professional License” program, which aimed to prepare male and female teachers, candidates for teaching positions, and the University’s female students and graduates from educational specialties to obtain the General Educational Professional License. The three-week training program included 11 workshops and training modules delivered remotely via the Noura Platform, focusing on several domains and standards, including: commitment to values and professional ethics, continuous professional development, professional engagement with educators and the community, mastery of language skills, mastery of quantitative skills, learning theories, knowledge of general teaching methods, and preparing interactive and supportive learning environments for learners. The program contributed to motivating and developing trainees’ expertise regarding the requirements for passing the General Educational Professional License test, and it granted an accredited certificate from Princess Nourah University totaling 50 training hours for those who pass the program with a score of 80%. Dr. Intisar Al-Muqrin, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Education and Human Development, explained that the training program was distinguished by being licensed by the National eLearning Center and by covering all standards and learning methods. This included live sessions through virtual classrooms, textual and interactive content, and more than 500 questions simulating those of the General Educational Professional License tests. The program was delivered by an elite group of faculty members specializing in curricula and teaching methods, psychology, and special education. This comes within the College’s contribution to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, which aims to enhance the efficiency of human capital and excellence in teaching and learning, in addition to developing skills, knowledge, and values.
