Institutional Funding :
An initiative launched by the Research and Innovation Agency at the Ministry of Education to support the strategic research plans of Saudi universities, in alignment with the university's plan and its priorities that correspond with the Saudi Vision 2030. 
Objectives of the Institutional Funding Initiative :
Enhance the publication of research in various disciplines that improve lifestyle, public health, and well-being. 
Train a cadre of promising researchers and research assistants in scientific research to elevate the university's research level. 
Contribute to the development of national research policies related to the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and the elderly. 
Build a sustainable research environment and community partnerships. 
Promote an innovative and dynamic research community aimed at benefiting society locally and globally. 
Support the commercialization of research to create investment opportunities for female researchers locally and internationally, with a focus on women's, children's, and community health research.

- Seminars, conferences, and discussion panels 
- Training and recruitment of assistant researchers in scientific research skills 
- A number of patents and intellectual property registrations 
- Training of junior university affiliates in research skills

Approved Projects in the First Institutional Funding Cycle – 2020: 
- Fast-track institutional funding path to support the research identity of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University 
- Enhancing research capacity (Targeted research – COVID-19 research) 
- Support for infrastructure and laboratory/equipment setup 
Approved Projects in the Second Institutional Funding Cycle – 2022: 
- Institutional funding path to support the research identity of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (Quality of Life and Well-being – Public Health – Technological and Environmental Research)

Approved Projects in the Third Institutional Funding Cycle – 2023: 
- Institutional funding path (Research Groups) to support the research identity of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (Quality of Life and Well-being – Public Health – Technological and Environmental Research) 
- Institutional funding path to support the research identity of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (Quality of Life and Well-being – Public Health – Technological and Environmental Research)

Application Mechanism: 
Applications for funding must be submitted electronically via the program's designated email at the Deanship of Scientific Research, along with completion of all required data and uploading of all necessary attachments.

Required Attachments: 
- Approval from the Research Ethics Committee 
- Declaration of Commitment (not being on sabbatical leave, contract validity for one year for non-Saudis) 
- Intellectual Property Rights Declaration 
Project Entitlements: 
A budget of SAR 25,000 is allocated, to be disbursed in two installments: the first installment being 50% of the approved project budget after signing the contract. 
Institutional funding tracks are subject to the Unified Regulations for Scientific Research in Universities.
