Dr. Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Al-Majmaah, Majmaah. Before joining, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, University of Swabi, for four years and one and a half years in the School of Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry, National University of Science and Technology. Dr. Khan recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Urology Department at The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. His project focused on the development of biodegradable ureter stents for two years. Dr Khan completed his PhD from CEAMR, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, in chemistry and Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) from the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, Pakistan, in Bio-organic chemistry. Dr. Khan is working in many research fields, including Bio-organic Chemistry, Biomedicals, Catalysis, nanocatalysis for various technological applications. Dr. Khan has supervised many M.Phil. and MSC students and PhD students, and currently, many MSC, MPhil, and PhD students are working under his supervision in the cutting-edge research area.
Dr. Khan is the editor of three books and has published about 12 book chapters and over 100 publications with a cumulative impact factor of about 500 and an h-index of 38. Dr Khan is also ranked in the top 2% of scientists in the World.
