High-Achieving Students Admission Pathway

This pathway is designed for academically high-achieving high school graduates who meet the specified requirements. It provides direct placement into programs in the Health Colleges and the College of Engineering after completing the Foundation Year, without participating in the competitive placement process, subject to the approved number of seats.

Continuation Requirement: Admission is conditional upon achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 4.50 out of 5.00 upon completing the Foundation Year requirements. Students who do not meet this requirement will be placed through the general competitive placement process.​


Target Group
High school graduates from the year of application with a weighted admission score of at least 95%, provided that no more than one year has elapsed since obtaining their high school diploma or equivalent qualification.​

Application Requirements and General Regulations​

  1. The applicant must meet the University's approved general admission requirements.
  2. The applicant must have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent qualification no more than one year prior to the application year.
  3. The applicant must have a weighted admission score of at least 95%.
  4. Applicants who meet the requirements are automatically ranked and selected competitively based on available capacity.
  5. Admission to this pathway is conditional upon achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 4.50 out of 5.00 upon completing the Foundation Year requirements.
  6. Applying through the High-Achieving Students Admission Pathway does not cancel or affect an application through the general Foundation Year admission pathway.
  7. Students admitted through the High-Achieving Students Admission Pathway are not eligible to apply for the full or partial Academic Acceleration Program.
