Academic Acceleration:

Academic Acceleration is one of the key features of the Talented Students Recruitment Program. It aims to accelerate the educational pathway of students at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in a manner that aligns with their abilities and academic excellence, enabling them to complete their university studies in a shorter period.

1. Academic Acceleration for Passing the Foundation Year:

 

This track is designed for high school students admitted to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University by placing them directly in the majors they desire without joining the foundation year at the university, according to the approved regulations for that, after successfully passing all specialized educational attainment tests, and after direct placement, the student completes the remainder of the courses that are not subject to academic acceleration.

 

Application Requirements:

 

1. The student must be accepted into Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in one of the following tracks:

• Foundation Year for Health Sciences Colleges.

• Foundation Year for the College of Engineering

 

. The student must have a composite score of no less than 89%.

 

Students admitted to the Foundation Year for Health Colleges must meet the English language requirement by achieving the minimum required score in one of the English language tests approved by the University, as follows:

Important Note:

 

1- Students must pass all specialized academic achievement tests for all courses, including English language courses, to pass the foundation year. If a student fails any of the acceleration courses, she will be required to complete the entire foundation year, subject to the specialization criteria specified for students admitted through the Unified Admission Portal.

 

 

 

Second: Partial Academic Acceleration:

This track is designed for high school graduates admitted to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, whereby students are exempted from studying the relevant courses upon successfully passing the approved specialized academic achievement tests.

 

Application Requirements:

 

1. The student must be admitted to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in one of the following colleges:

 

- College of Nursing

- College of Science

- College of Computer and Information Sciences

- College of Business Administration

 

2. The student must have a composite score of no less than 89%.

Application Procedure for Candidates for the Academic Acceleration Program Exams:

 

Dear Student: If you have received a nomination message on your mobile number, please follow the steps below to register for the Academic Acceleration Program exams:

 

1. Review the courses related to the academic program to which you have been admitted, as shown in the table above.

2. Visit the Qiyas Center website through the following link: (Click here).

3. After logging in to your personal account on the Qiyas Center website, select the option “Academic Acceleration – Princess Nourah University – August 2025.”

 

4. All Academic Acceleration Program courses will be displayed. 

5. Register for the exams of the courses related to the academic program to which you have been admitted. 

6. Students in the full academic acceleration track (foundation year students of the health colleges and the College of Engineering) must ensure registration in all required courses. Failure to register in all required courses will result in not passing the foundation year.

Third: Partial Academic Acceleration for University Requirements:

 

Partial Academic Acceleration Track for University Requirements:

 

This pathway is designed to enable students of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to be exempted from studying one or more designated university requirement courses under the Partial Academic Acceleration pathway, upon successfully passing the specified test for each course. This allows students to progress through their study plan more quickly.

 

Target Group:

 

First- and second-level students from all colleges, except for programs subject to major allocation and the Applied College.

 

First- and second-level students from all colleges, except for programs subject to major allocation and the Applied College:


1. Students may apply for one or more designated university requirement courses within the pathway.

2. One test only, out of 100 marks, is allocated for each approved course within the Partial Academic Acceleration pathway.

3. A student is considered to have passed the course if she obtains a score of 60 or above out of 100 in the designated Partial Academic Acceleration test.

4. Upon passing the designated test, the student is exempted from studying the course. A Pass without Grade (NP) is recorded in her academic record, and the result is not included in the semester or cumulative GPA.

 

5. If the student passes the Partial Academic Acceleration test for a university requirement, the corresponding course registration is removed from her approved study plan, and she is exempted from studying the course.

 

6. Failure to pass the Academic Acceleration test for a university requirement course does not affect eligibility for graduation with honors.

 

7-Failure to pass the academic acceleration exam for a university requirement does not affect the student's eligibility for honors.

 

8-Retaking the exam is not permitted for failure or absence (with or without excuse). The exam is offered only once at the beginning of the semester.

 

9. Students may apply to register for the Partial Academic Acceleration Program for one or more designated university requirement courses through the Banner academic system during the period announced in the university academic calendar.

 

10. Students must adhere to the announced deadlines for applying to the Partial Academic Acceleration registration service and to the test schedules announced by the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

 

11-Students are responsible for reviewing the course material and preparing for the test.

 

Application Procedure:

 

The university requirement courses offered under the Partial Academic Acceleration pathway, along with the test dates, will be announced on the Deanship of Admission and Registration page on the official university website and through the Deanship’s account on the X platform (@admission_pnu), prior to the beginning of the academic semester.


Students may submit an electronic request to register for the Partial Academic Acceleration test for university requirements through the Banner academic system during the announced period. To view the application steps, click here.
