Program OverviewThe Professional Master’s in School Counseling is designed to prepare professional practitioners capable of providing psychological and educational support to students, diagnosing behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges, and designing and implementing evidence-based counseling and preventive programs. The program also enhances students’ skills in assessment and evaluation, career guidance, and addressing individual differences and cultural diversity within the educational environment.

Program Objectives
Diagnosis and Counseling Interventions
Apply the knowledge and skills required to diagnose and analyze school counseling problems and implement appropriate interventions.
Psychological and Social Adjustment and Development
Develop professional competencies to address students’ psychological and social development and adjustment needs in accordance with recognized professional standards and principles.
Applied Counseling Research
Enhance applied research competencies in studying school counseling problems and issues and improving counseling practices.
Preventive and Awareness Initiatives
Strengthen the professional role in serving the school community by developing and implementing preventive and awareness-oriented counseling initiatives.
Admission Requirements and Target GroupsDirect Academic TrackGraduates of Specified DisciplinesApplicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines (or an equivalent qualification):
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Sociology
Guidance and Educational Practitioners TrackApplicants with Other Academic BackgroundsIf the applicant holds a qualification in a discipline other than those listed above, they must belong to one of the following categories:
- Male and female student counselors currently employed in the field.
- Nominees from the Ministry of Education or educational institutions to serve as student counselors.
- Individuals with three or more years of experience working as a student counselor, whether or not they are currently employed in the field.
