About the Program
The Master’s
Program in Biomathematics and Epidemic Modeling aims to provide students with
advanced skills in mathematical modeling and computational techniques, together
with the biological background needed to analyze and manage epidemic risks. It
also aims to develop dynamic models that help decision-makers and national and
global health policymakers respond rapidly to health emergencies and global
pandemics.
Program Mission
To provide a
multidisciplinary curriculum that integrates mathematical modeling,
computational tools, epidemiology, and biology in order to forecast epidemic
trends and support research aligned with disease control strategies in the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Program Objectives
- Modeling and Biological Data
Analysis: Equip students with advanced skills in building mathematical and
statistical models and in analyzing large-scale biological and health data.
- Multidisciplinary Integration: Strengthen
collaboration among mathematics, biology, public health, and epidemiology to
address complex health issues.
- Supporting National Health
Security: Raise the readiness and response of the health system in the
Kingdom to confront epidemic threats and infectious diseases with high
efficiency.
- Developing Health Policies: Contribute
to national and global health research and policies through innovation in
applying simulation and epidemic forecasting models.
- Sustainability and Scientific
Research: Develop scientific competencies in sustainable health development
and high-quality applied academic research.
