Program Overview:

The Master of Science in Nursing - Advanced Nursing Practice program is an advanced step for nurses who wish to develop their skills and professional careers.

  • Critical Care Nursing for Adults Pathway: This pathway focuses on preparing nurses to work in intensive care units, where patients face critical health conditions that require specialized medical care around the clock.
  • Cardiac and Vascular Nursing Pathway: This pathway aims to prepare nurses specialized in caring for patients with cardiovascular diseases.


 Program Goals:

  • Prepare qualified Saudi nurses to work in complex healthcare settings.
  • Develop skilled nurses in the areas of cardiac care and critical care, enabling them to provide multidisciplinary and evidence-based care.
  • Provide professional, ethical, and culturally sensitive nursing care and conduct clinical research in the fields of cardiac care and critical care.


 Admission Requirements:

  1. A bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum GPA of  'C+'.
  2. A minimum score of 5 in the IELTS Academic test, or its equivalent from other English language tests. (Exemption from the IELTS test for applicants who obtained their bachelor's degree from a country where English is the primary language).
  3. A minimum score of 65 in the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates, or a score of 144 in the Quantitative Reasoning Measure of the GRE General Test.
  4. At least one year of practical nursing experience in the advanced specialization after the internship year.
  5. A valid nursing license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  6. A CV (Curriculum Vitae).


 Study System: Coursework and Research Project.
