Program Overview:
The Master of Science in Nursing – Geriatric Care is an important and vital specialization aimed at preparing nursing professionals to provide specialized healthcare for the elderly. Elderly individuals face unique health, psychological, and social challenges, and this program equips nurses with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively address these challenges.
Program Objectives:
- Provide advanced education to improve the interdisciplinary research aspect for nurses in the field of aging and most practices, enhancing healthcare for the elderly.
- Encourage graduating nurses to engage in strategic professional collaboration with employers to improve the quality of education and training, achieving excellence in geriatric care.
- Prepare highly qualified Saudi nurses who can work in diverse and complex healthcare environments, delivering new academic knowledge in elderly care and providing high-quality service to the community.
Admission Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum GPA of "Good" (Above Average).
- A minimum score of 5.0 in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent from other recognized English language proficiency tests (Applicants with a bachelor's degree from a country where English is the primary language are exempt from the IELTS requirement).
- A minimum score of 65 in the General Aptitude Test for university graduates or a score of 144 in the GRE General Test's Quantitative Reasoning section.
- At least one year of practical nursing experience after completing the internship year.
- A valid nursing practice license issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- A current resume.
