In the context of providing the youth generation with technical knowledge in the field of cyber security, and in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 that keeps up with the digital and technical transformation, College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), in cooperation with the Tech Campus Center for Technical and Vocational Training, intends to conduct an integrated women's camp for cyber security, with 70 training hours in the period from January 5, 2020 to January 22, 2020, with the aim of qualifying the trainees technically, in line with work requirements and entering into the world of cyber security, through training and practical application in the fully-equipped college laboratories.
This camp provides four specialized courses in cyber security besides the intensive training for a period of two weeks, which includes interactive application, providing certificates and motivational points, in addition to providing summaries of the courses offered. These courses are: Cyber security and ethical hacking course (Cyber Hacker Certified - CHC V2), hacking and protecting websites course (Cyber Web Certified - CWC), operating systems course (Cyber Linux), programming course (Cyber Python).
The camp also provides evening sessions for remote training, and the ability of communication among trainers and trainees via live broadcasting. As this will create an effective environment for sharing experiences, using appropriate applications and tools for security tests, protection and ethical hacking, in addition to recording lessons to refer to it at any time.
The camp provides an opportunity for women from all universities in the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and for those non-specialized interested in the field of cyber security to register. The training starts with the beginner level, without requiring any previous experience from the trainee. At the end of the training, each trainee is awarded (5) certificates from Princess Nourah University, in cooperation with the Tech Campus Center for Technical and Vocational training.
