Abdulrahman University, represented by the Vice Rectorate for Health Affairs,
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Diaverum Group for kidney care
on Wednesday, 9 November 2019 with the aim of enhancing cooperation and
exchange of academic training and research experiences. The agreement was
signed at the university by the Vice Rector for Health Affairs Dr. Ghada Bint
Abdulaziz bin Saif, and the Deputy Health Director of Diaverum Group for Kidney
Care, Dr. Dujana Hassan Musa. Dr. Ghada Bin Saif explained the importance of
cooperation between the academic and health institutions to prepare training
programs that target students of health specialities related to kidney disease
at the university. She pointed out that this memo focuses on the participation
of students in joint research projects that serve the objectives of both
parties and achieve the mission of the university to serve patients of kidneys
and different disciplines. For her part, Dr. Dujana Moussa assured that the
integration of the academic and training aspects is one of the most important
elements of achieving the quality in training to qualify national cadres of
health practitioners to provide a high level of service to the community. This
cooperation aims to provide medical care for patients suffering from chronic
kidney disease according to the highest international standards and to benefit
from the successful international expertise to train undergraduates and to
develop their skills to contribute to building the knowledge economy and
achieve Vision 2030.
