Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and Nesma & Partners signed, on Monday, 6 April 2026, the project agreement titled “Sponsorship to Support the Chair for Sustainability and Innovation in Materials Engineering Research,” in the presence of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Fawzia bint Sulaiman Al-Omro, at the Natural and Health Sciences Research Center on campus. The Chair aims to develop sustainable engineering materials, replace conventional materials with smart and environmentally friendly alternatives, support the circular economy through engineering-based material recycling, and link materials research to national industrial applications. It also seeks to qualify specialized research cadres in the engineering sector. The University was represented in signing the agreement by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Hanan bin Minqash, while Nesma & Partners was represented by its Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Sami Al-Mulaifi. This agreement reflects the shared objectives of both parties in knowledge exchange, enhancing excellence and leadership in scientific research, and building a knowledge-based society. It also aligns with the University’s efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships that support sustainable development and a knowledge-based economy.
