As part of efforts to strengthen the enablers of excellence and community sustainability, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, honored Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University among the distinguished Saudi universities in the field of social responsibility for 2025, in the presence of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Fawzia bint Suleiman Al-Amro, as well as university presidents and representatives of the education, training, and non-profit sectors, at the Ministry of Education headquarters. The recognition came in appreciation of the efforts of the University, represented by its vice presidencies, deanships, colleges, centers, and departments, and their distinguished contributions in the field of social responsibility, during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education to mark the Saudi Social Responsibility Day. During 2025, the University witnessed significant academic and community activity, represented by the achievement of approximately 59 responsible research projects, the implementation of around 691 responsible initiatives, and more than 170 responsible courses, in addition to carrying out over 190 events and initiatives that contributed to strengthening its presence and community impact. In the area of training and capacity building, the University delivered approximately 496 training activities, while the social responsibility and sustainability units implemented around 750 programs targeting faculty members, administrative staff, students, and members of the community. The Director of Social Responsibility and Partnerships at the General Administration of Institutional Communication at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Ms. Munirah Najiman, stated that: “This distinction reflects the University’s adoption of social responsibility as a sustainable institutional approach that contributes to maximizing its educational and societal impact and supports the achievement of sustainable development goals.” This recognition comes as an extension of the role of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in contributing to the achievement of the goals of its strategic plan through the development of human capital, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting initiatives with sustainable impact, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
