Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—may Allah protect him—Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University will celebrate next Tuesday, 7 April 2026, the honoring of the winners of the 8th Princess Nourah Award for Women’s Excellence. The ceremony will be attended by the wife of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Her Highness Princess Fahda bint Falah Al Hathleen, at the University’s Conference and Seminar Center. The winners of the award will be honored in six “theoretical” and “applied” fields, for which nominations were announced last November. These fields are: Health Sciences, Humanities Studies, Social Work, Natural Sciences, Economic Projects, and Artistic Works. The number of nominees in the eighth cycle reached approximately 515 candidates from different regions of the Kingdom, reflecting growing public awareness of the importance of the award and the expansion of its impact. The eighth cycle also included developments in judging and evaluation mechanisms, based on the highest standards of transparency in selecting the winners, in addition to updating the general framework of the award in line with national and global developments. It is worth noting that, in its eighth cycle, the award focused on national strategic priorities, as its themes were characterized by inclusiveness and relevance to the Kingdom’s developmental reality within the context of modern global trends, such as preventive healthcare, green supply chains, local manufacturing, and social and cultural transformations, in addition to supporting persons with disabilities and special needs and promoting national heritage.
