The Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University organized, during February 2026, a package of training and development activities for the university’s staff, within the framework of supporting knowledge and research practices and enhancing capabilities in the scientific field. The Deanship delivered a series of training workshops, most notably the workshop “Training on How to Access and Search the Saudi Digital Library,” aimed at introducing participants to the services provided by the Saudi Digital Library and the mechanisms of access and search. It also offered the workshop “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Academic Writing,” which addressed the concept of artificial intelligence and its key applications in academia to support practices and develop research capabilities. In the same context, the Deanship implemented the workshop “Ethics of Using Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research,” which reviewed the regulations and policies governing the use of AI technologies in the research field, thereby enhancing data quality and the accuracy of outputs. The Deanship also activated a research clinic titled “Introduction to the Research Funding Application System,” which addressed the mechanisms for applying to research funding programs and answered researchers’ inquiries, enabling them to benefit from support opportunities and enhancing the educational and research process. These activities come within the role of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries in contributing to achieving the strategic objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University by supporting the educational and research process, providing a stimulating knowledge environment, and delivering quality programs that contribute to improving the quality of research outputs.
