The Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in cooperation with the Cooperative Association of Lawyers, launched on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, the “Mishkat” legal awareness initiative for students, alumnae, and those interested in the legal field. “Mishkat” is an awareness initiative aimed at enhancing legal culture and raising awareness of legal knowledge through promoting digital legal literacy, introducing intellectual property rights, and empowering beneficiaries to make informed and responsible decisions in their professional and personal lives. It also seeks to strengthen respect for regulations and laws, thereby contributing to building a solid and responsible legal awareness. The initiative focuses on delivering awareness sessions in areas of rights and regulations related to the labor market, personal status matters, and systems associated with the education sector and university regulations, in order to support legal awareness, consolidate principles of justice and fairness, and promote the values of responsible citizenship. The initiative includes (15) specialized workshops, including: “Awareness Before the Law,” “A Lawyer in an Hour,” “Awareness of Rights and Job Duties in the Workplace,” “Reading Personal and Financial Contracts and Protecting Rights,” and “Legal Insights for Those Entering the Labor Market.” It also comprises a series of awareness meetings where legal experts engage with beneficiaries to discuss diverse topics such as “The Legal Compass,” “Legal Rights in the Workplace,” “Digital Security,” and “Your Project Under the Microscope.” The “Mishkat” initiative reflects the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to contribute to achieving the university’s strategic objectives by legally empowering students and alumnae, preparing qualified competencies capable of competing in the labor market, supporting the research and innovation ecosystem, and developing students’ skills in the legal field.
